Sunday Prototype – 08/18/13 – Skinth Raptor Nest

We finally got our hands on a set the new Leatherman Raptor shears, we’ve already fallen in love with the concept and execution. We’ve often thought a nice pair of shears, coupled with some tools would make for a great EDC and general problem solving family.

After some fiddling and fitting, we found that our Skinth TrailBlazer was the best fit for the new Leatherman Raptor. So here on our latest instalment of the Skinth Sunday Prototype is the Skinth Raptor Nest!

This blacked out Skinth TrailBlazer is a near perfect fit for the folded up Raptors. Originally design around an Altoids mint tin, the TrailBlazer has since become a staple among the Skinth line up. With it’s dual, wide, flat bottom pockets sized perfectly for mutlitools and fatter lights, the interior is always left…in the dark.

The divided interior perfectly coddles the folded up Raptor, waiting to sink it’s teeth into whatever it may encounter. DSC_0008

The Skinth TrailBlazer may give our Skinth First Responder a run for it’s money, using the side pentapocket (the one directly behind the side tube) to temporarily sheath the Raptor shears.

With it’s ability to hold this critical piece of EMT/FR/Gen Purpose EDC gear, we expect to see a couple more TrailBlazers orders show up in our inbox.

Carry on!
