Sunday Prototype – 09/30/12 – The Skinth CA (Catch All)

We missed last week’s Sunday Prototype due to some unfortunate circumstances, we are back this week with something you’ll really enjoy.

Why?

…because this week’s Sunday Prototype is our biggest Skinth yet! Introducing the Skinth Catch All.

Here at Skinth, we like designing around a core item and then outfitting the rest of it with regular features found on most Skinths. This time round we were tasked to hold INTERNALLY a top coil 3″x5″ notepad, we were definitely up to the challenge. We took our Skinth Magnum design and pushed out the width of nearly every dimension to accomodate the 3″ wide notepad.

When we were satisfied with how the notepad sat internally, we posited that if one used a notepad, then one would use writing instruments. So, we challenged ourselves once again and increased the internal organization of the Skinth Catch All by adding double pen tubes that ride along side the notepad. This keeps Sharpies, pens and other tubular items securely upright and ready to be used when called upon.

We then moved to the outside. We love a one stop shop and the Catch All again comes to the table with two LARGE side tubes. At nearly 1.25″ in diameter, these tubes are large enough for a fat CR123 light or a 4″ multitool. 3/4″ side release buckles make adjusting the side tubes depth easy and reliable.

Inside this Catch All is a Rite in the Rain 3×5 notepad, a custom OD Green Leatherman Charge TTi, a zoomable CR123 torch, 2 Leatherman bit sets, a Pocket Wrench 2, a Super Utility Knife, a custom OD Green County Comm Embassy Pen and a Sharpie.
